Nice sized coffee shop, plenty of sitting. Good sized menu and able to whip up basically anything requested. (Wife’s imitated Starbucks) Their Tiramisu Mocha was very good.

Down by the John Deere Pavilion, there's a number of cafes, bars, and eateries of sorts along River Drive and 4th/5th Avenues. I've visited this part of Moline soooo many times for Bierstube, Bent River, Rebellion, or Bad Boyz Pizza, but never visited early enough to try Dead Poet's Espresso. Well, after a hearty breakfast this morning and a newfound and robust desire to get out and try new cafes, I resolved that today was the day to get over there and get a hot beverage. The space clearly has a carefully cultivated appearance. The dead poets theming is obvious on the surface - portraits of various long deceased authors of verse line the walls and the menu of specialty drinks bear many of their names. Beyond this, however, the furnishings and other architectural features provide additional depth to the experience. All of the walls in the space are simple brick and mortar which appear to be original to the space prior to it being a coffee house. The ceiling area has other distinct aesthetics, including stained and finished 2x4s throughout, HVAC ductwork painted a muted green color, and a mix of accent lighting from drop fixtures and somewhat ornate ceiling fans. The whole of it comes together to give the feeling that the coffee house might actually come out of mid-19th century Moline. It's a neat feeling - everything looks old, but clearly isn't and is, in fact, well kept up and clean. I opted for a green tea (a Lavender Jasmine this time) and a brown sugar cinnamon scone. Both were quite tasty - in fact, the Jasmine Green Tea was the best I've had anywhere in a while. No joke, I would come back here just for this over and over again. I talked to one of the baristas and was informed the tea is from Tea Source, which, from a cursory internet search, is fairly modestly priced. I'm eager to look a little more. I came in after working the night shift. It was my first time there so I ordered something off of the "Drinks of the Poets" menu. I got the Kiplin which is a lavender mint latté. It was good! I love the space inside, too. So much seating. And, there looks to be an outdoor area as well.

Four of us came in and each got separate coffees. Each was absolutely divine. We got the Kipling, the Shakespeare, the Dickinson, and the Poe. The coffee came out super fast and the food we had ordered arrived shortly after. We shared a C.A.B and the Protein quesadilla. Perfection on a plate! Absolutely stop in when in the area!

Cool cafe with nice vibes and excellent food and drinks. Had the avocado and egg sandwich for breakfast, and I usually get the Lavender Latte. Visiting from out of town and will definitely come back when I get the chance this week. Pollette is a great host/server too!

We were lucky enough to discover this coffee shop during Quad City’s Restaurant Week! We got a Santa Cruz wrap and a Cruz Cruz bagel. We also ordered a white chocolate raspberry scone and a tiramisu latte. I highly recommend the Santa Cruz wrap! The vibes were awesome, live piano and singing, very fast service, and busy!

If you haven’t stopped into Dead Poets Espresso lately, you are missing out on one of the best atmosphere-meets-flavor combos in town. Our latest visit was made even better by the incredible service. A huge shout-out to Charles! He is absolutely awesome. He crafted a Vanilla Chai Latte for me that was, in a word, heavenly. It had that perfect balance of spice and sweetness that’s so hard to get just right. It’s clear Charles takes pride in his craft, and it makes all the difference in the world. The Vibe: As always, the literary, "Dead Poets" aesthetic is the perfect place to tuck in with a book or catch up with a friend. It’s cozy, creative, and exactly what a local espresso bar should be. The Quality: The chai was consistent, hot, and professionally prepared. No "syrup-heavy" shortcuts here—just pure, delicious flavor. The Service: Beyond the drink, the friendly energy behind the counter (thanks to Charles!) really brightened my day. Whether you're a regular or just passing through looking for your next caffeine fix, make sure to stop by. And if Charles is behind the bar, definitely go for the Vanilla Chai—you won’t regret it!

Wish the QC had more cozy coffee places like this! It was my first time here and very pleasant! Lots of seating which was nice. I got an iced latte which was great & a breakfast sandwich!
